In December 2010, as a self-initiated project, the PURE team developed and created a pitch to the WELLNESS WAREHOUSE, to produce a WELLNESS WAREHOUSE MAGAZINE.

In this publishing process, editorial structure including feature ideas, regulars, contents pillars, straps were researched and developed. These editorial ideas were then mocked up into modern and contemporary visuals.

Apart from the proposed WELLNESS WAREHOUSE MAGAZINE acting as their primary marketing tool, the content needed to talk to existing and new customers in a manner that would boost brand awareness, showcase new products, increase traffic to stores, build the WELLNESS WAREHOUSE into a major health & wellness brand in South Africa.

Other objectives included encouraging loyalty and sales through a loyalty card system to drive card holders to their online store. A limited run of printed copies was proposed to be distributed inside the WELLNESS WAREHOUSE stores, plus as inserts into consumer health publications backed by an online digital edition. The digital edition would make best use of emerging technologies, social media, rich media and hyperlinking and be available on computers, tablets to mobile. The WELLNESS WAREHOUSE owners loved the concept and proposal so much, they have taken the PURE PUBLISHING concept to their marketing team to produce internally.
